We help animals in need

Have you found an animal?

The welfare of all lost and found animals is close to our hearts. If you have found an animal and don’t know who it belongs to, first report it to the Schweizerische Tiermeldezentrale (STMZ): www.stmz.ch

Since the Swiss Animal Reporting Center (STMZ) does not take in any animals, the Tierschutzverein Zug plays an important role in taking in, caring for and placing stray animals. We are the foremost organization for missing domestic animals in Canton Zug. We therefore recommend that any animal that is found is also reported to us – we are often the first point of contact when an animal is lost or a stray has been found.

Strays can be handed over to us free of charge and without bureaucracy.

If the animal has not yet been reported to the STMZ before bringing it to the animal shelter, we will of course do so. During the stay in the shelter we will look after the animal and, if necessary, provide medical care. If, after the legal holding period of two months, the owner has not contacted us, we will look for a new and suitable home for the animal.

Found animals, that we are currently housing, can be found here.

Is your pet missing?

We care about the well-being of all missing animals and are always happy to help you find your lost pet.
